Biography

I was born and raised on the small island of Palma de Mallorca in Spain, and I am the child of a Spanish father and a Dutch mother. Being a restless, enthusiastic child, I quickly figured out that water sports were my absolute favourite activity, which did not surprise my parents since sailing had always been part of their background. It didn't take my mother long to place me in sailing camps when I was only 7 years old, and not long after I was sailing as a top youth athlete and traveling around the world at an age of 16 years old. It was during this period that I learned to work in a team, to be disciplined, to have perseverance and to be creative with my time about study, sports, and leisure. Being surrounded by water, time was always made to surf when there were waves and to wakeboard when there were none. Snowboarding is also one of my great passions!

 

It was an immense privilege for me to be born on an island surrounded by nature and by bilingual loving, hardworking and caring parents. I attended an international school with my younger brother, whom I consider my best friend for life, in which we learned to work and study in a multicultural environment from a very early age. As a young adult, I had to make a decision regarding my future studies, and, after some research and reflection, I decided the International Sport Management and Business program was an excellent match for my personality and interests. Thus, I decided to give it a try and continue my adventures in the beautiful country of The Netherlands!
